Who we are

This website is operated by Gillian Chilton trading as Oasis Florists of Fleet, 297 Fleet Road, Fleet, Hampshire GU51 3BU.

 

1. What personal data we collect and why we collect it

 

1.1 Customer information

This website offers flowers and other gift products for sale online. In order to fulfil our contract with customers we collect the following personal data:

Your first name, last name, email address, phone number(s), postal address and postcode. We also collect your credit card billing address if it is different to your home address.

We may also collect your credit card details if you complete your transaction by phone. We always enter this data straight into our card machine and do not record it.

We collect and process the above data on the basis that as a customer you have entered into a contract with us.

We also collect the first name, last name, company name if applicable, and address of the person to whom you are sending a gift. We collect and process this information on the basis that it is in the legitimate interest of this person for you to provide their information to us and for us to process it so that we can deliver their gift.

 

1.2 Website Analytics

We collect data about your visit to our website using Google Analytics cookies in order to analyse and improve our website. We do not correlate this data to the identity of any individual person. You can block the use of cookies in your web browser settings but this will affect some of the functionality of our website and may prevent you from placing an order online.

 

2. How we collect your personal data

We process your data under the General Data Protection Regulation 2018 (GDPR). We process your data on the grounds that we need it in order to fulfil our contract with you. We collect your data and that of your gift recipient via a form on our checkout page when you place an online order. If you also pay online your payment details will not be collected by us. You will be directed to a Nochex or Paypal payment gateway to enter your credit card details. Please refer to the payment processor’s own privacy policy on their website for details of how they process this data.

If you visit any page of the website will collect information about your visit using Google Analytics cookies but we will not correlate this to any identifiable personal information.

 

3. How we process your personal data

We receive a copy of your personal data from the website by email in an order. We print this order and use the address information on it for our delivery driver to make the delivery to the recipient. The printed order is destroyed after the delivery has been completed.

 

4. Your right to view, amend or delete your personal data

Under the General Data Protection Regulation you have the right to request us to provide a copy of your data, amend it, or delete it. You can request this by contacting us at orders@oasisflowers.net .

 

5. Who we share your data with

We never make your data available to any third parties for their own use, other than law enforcement agencies, nor will we ever have received your data from a third party, unless you are the recipient of a gift, in which case we will have been given your details by the donor of the gift.

Your data may be visible to data processors acting under our instruction, such as our accountant, website provider, or IT contractor, but they will never use it for any purpose other than their contract with us.

 

6. How long we retain your data

We retain customers’ data for a period of 6 years to comply with HMRC requirements.

 

7. What rights you have if you are not happy with our use of your data

If you are dissatisfied with our use of your data please inform us in the first instance by contacting us at orders@oasisflowers.net . We will cease using it immediately unless required by law or for other overriding legitimate purpose such as pursuing debt collection.

If you are still dissatisfied after contacting us, you have the legal right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office whose details may be found at ico.org.uk

 

8. Where we send your data

We store customers data on secure UK based servers. Backups of this data may be stored in other locations within the EU. Data may be processed via a contractor acting as a Data Processor under our instruction, such as our website provider, IT support provider or a marketing agency.

 

9. Embedded content from other websites

Pages on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website. We do not have access to or make use of this information.
